It's more than a year later and he's still struggling to find his confidence. Jodie believes that a little bit of rebound sex with a willing, eager woman would help Connor immensely and she convinces Josh that she's the right woman for that. Over the three part story, Jodie and Connor indulge their sexual desires for each other while Josh deals with his unexpected enjoyment of his wife having sex with another man and the angst and jealousy that comes with such things.

In this new story, Connor is now dating again, but he finds that it's much more of a struggle than he thought it would be. As it turns out, going more than a decade between dates has left him a little rusty. Thankfully, Jodie has a solution for that, too.

“So, how was it?” Jodie asked as she gently swirled the wine in her glass and smiled at Connor. “How was the big first date?”

She was referring to Connor’s first date since Jodie had embarked on a confidence-boosting sexual adventure with him. He’d enjoyed numerous evenings of sex with Jodie, but the whole point of that brief affair had been to restore his confidence and get him out into the dating world again, so he’d taken the plunge shortly after New Years.

“Yeah, we’re dying to hear about it,” Josh said. “There’s nothing like a good – or bad, if I’m being honest – dating story. So lay it on us.”

Connor looked a little pained before gazing into his wine glass and taking a sip. Josh suspected his friend’s first real, full-effort date in nearly a decade hadn’t gone particularly well.

“It would be fair to say it went poorly,” Connor said. “And it was my fault that it went poorly. I wish I could say it wasn’t, but it really was.”

“Oh no,” Jodie said. “What happened?” There was genuine concern in her voice, though Josh could understand why. Jodie had put in far more effort in restoring Connor’s confidence than most women would have. She’d enjoyed doing so – there was no doubt about how good the sex with Connor had been – but she’d always been clear that she wanted the best for Connor, and going on a bad date was far from the best.

“Well,” Connor began, “I seem to have forgotten how to date. I totally forgot about doing all the little things you’re supposed to do when you’re, well, courting someone. I didn’t open doors for her. I didn’t really compliment how good she looked – despite her looking really, really good – and I’m pretty sure I was a little judgmental in a way that she found annoying. At one point, early in the date, I made some crack about lawyers, despite the fact that she’s a lawyer. I saw it on her profile, but I’d completely forgotten about it. She made her annoyance clear and I apologized, but it kind of went downhill from there.”

Josh couldn’t help but laugh. “I’m sorry,” he said as Connor offered a hurt look. “I shouldn’t laugh. It’s just, you know, sometimes you have a shitty date and the best thing to do is laugh at it afterwards, you know?”

Connor smiled, though he couldn’t quite bring himself to laugh. “Yeah, I don’t know, man. I had high hopes, you know? I mean, after…well, after everything Jodie did, I thought I was ready to get back out there and start dating again. Then I realized that I might be really bad at dating. I mean, maybe I’ll be better on the next one, but I feel like it might actually be pretty painful for a while. I just don’t know if I’m ready for that.”

“You can’t get better at it if you don’t do it,” Josh said. “Don’t you just have to suffer the pain for a little while?”

“I guess,” Connor replied, though he didn’t look convinced.

“It’s also possible she just wasn’t the right girl for you,” Josh added.

“She seemed like the perfect girl for me. We really clicked when we messaged on the app. We talked a little on the phone and that went really well too. Maybe you’re right, but it feels like I’m just rusty and maybe a little, I don’t know, scarred or fucked up from my marriage going so wrong. I don’t know,” Connor said.

“Josh is right,” Jodie chimed in. “You need practice. You can’t expect to be good at something right out of the gate, especially something you haven’t done in a decade. However, I understand that you might not be interested in putting yourself through that kind of pain. I think I can help with that, though.”

Connor raised his eyebrows and smiled and Josh could understand why. The last time Jodie had an idea about how to help Connor, he’d ended up fucking her more than enough times to satisfy one man. “How do you propose to help?” Connor asked.

Jodie looked at Josh and flashed a quick smile before turning her attention to their friend and saying, “You can date me. You can practice how to date again with someone you’re already comfortable with. I can give you tips on what a woman is looking for, gently correct any mistakes you might make. What do you think?”

To Josh, it seemed like Connor was trying his best not to look overly excited. “Well,” Connor said, “I think that would be pretty great if you’re actually willing to do that. What about you, Josh? Would you be okay with me taking your wife out on dates?”

“Actually, I thought Josh might participate,” Jodie said. “I think he could help give you tips too. For instance, he could play the part of our Uber driver. Instead of ordering a car, we’ll just have him drive us. He can judge the conversation in the car, that sort of thing, to let you know how you’re doing. After all, if you have any hope of a goodnight kiss – or something more – you’ll have to be charming. I’m going to treat it like a real date, which means you don’t get what you want – what all men want – unless you impress me. If you forget to open the door, forget to tell me how beautiful I look, or spend the whole night talking about yourself, you’ll find that a kiss on the cheek is all you’re going to get.”

Josh could see that Connor was a little excited. It was like Jodie had laid out a quest and his reward for completion would be getting to have sex with her. That seemed to be a quest that Connor was excited to undergo and Josh couldn’t help but admire his wife’s ingenuity. She’d correctly deduced that offering sex was the perfect way to get Connor to actually put some effort into getting good at dating. Josh wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about his wife going on dates with another man, though.

“I think it would be smart to have Josh be a sort of silent third wheel on the dates, too. He could sit at a different table if you decide to take me to a restaurant or he could sit behind us if we go to the movies. He’ll be there, but he won’t actually participate in the date. He’ll just watch and listen and then give you feedback when it’s over. How does that sound?” Jodie asked.

She wasn’t asking Josh, though. She’d just assumed he’d be on board. She was right about that, of course. Josh wasn’t going to put up a fight. It was a little embarrassing, but he felt a pleasing kind of arousal when he considered being the silent third wheel as his wife went on a date with Connor.

“It sounds great,” Connor said. “I can’t thank you enough. Both of you.”

Jodie smiled. “There’s just one thing left to do, then.”

“What’s that?” Connor asked.

“You need to ask me out,” Jodie explained.

Connor put his wine glass on the coffee table, leaned forward, and said, “Jodie, may I take you on a date?”

Jodie flashed a giddy smile and answered, “You may. You’ll have to plan it, though, and I expect you to make it good. Remember, I’m going to act like I don’t know you, like I haven’t already had you inside me. I’m going to act like a girl you’ve never met before. You need to impress me just like you’d need to impress any other girl you want to have a relationship with.”

Connor picked up his glass, sat back, and said, “I’ll impress you, I promise.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” Jodie replied.

Josh wasn’t going to come out and say it, but he was looking forward to it too.

“I haven’t had a meal that good in a long time,” Jodie said as she and Connor walked out of Ember, the exquisite and exceptionally expensive restaurant he’d chosen for their date. “You made a wonderful choice, Connor.”

Josh walked out behind them – he’d enjoyed a solo dinner one table over – and he couldn’t help but agree. The food was spectacular. He wasn’t permitted to join the conversation – Jodie had made it clear she wanted him to listen during her date with Connor but that he wasn’t to participate as anything other than their stand-in Uber driver.

“I hope you don’t mind,” Connor said, “but there’s somewhere special I’d like to take you for an after dinner drink.”

Jodie looked at him and smiled. She seemed genuinely delighted at the idea, though Josh couldn’t tell if she was doing a bit of acting to reward Connor for his good dating instincts or if she was actually enjoying her date that much.

“That sounds wonderful,” she said.

“Excellent,” Connor replied. “Let me just order a car.”

Connor pulled out his phone and not long after Josh received a text from his friend requesting a ride to an address Josh wasn’t familiar with. The text was an unnecessary touch, but Jodie had insisted that they all do everything they could to make the date feel as authentic as possible.

They stopped at the curb and Josh walked past his wife and his friend on his way to the car. He stopped at the driver’s side door and looked back to see Jodie and Connor holding hands and smiling at each other. They seemed happy, just as they’d seemed the entire night. From Josh’s point of view, the date had gone exceptionally well so far. They had great chemistry, Connor managed to ask questions about Jodie that he didn’t actually know the answer to, and she did the same for him. They were actually getting to know each other a little better, just like a real couple would do.

Josh got into the car, backed out of his space, and pulled up to the curb. He rolled the window down and said, “Connor?” just like an Uber driver would have.

“That’s me,” Connor replied as he opened the back door and gestured for Jodie to get in. She got in and Connor gently shut the door and walked around the back of the car to get it on the other side.

“Where are we going?” Jodie asked as Josh put the car in drive and pulled away from the curb.

“I think it’s better if it’s a surprise,” he said.

Josh glanced in the rearview mirror and saw a sweet smile on his wife’s face. He was convinced she wasn’t faking it. She really was enjoying her date with Connor, a fact that generated an entirely different kind of jealousy than what he’d experienced while watching Jodie have sex with his friend. It was a far more potent form of jealousy, in fact. A good date felt like more of a threat to their marriage than good sex had, though Josh wasn’t sure that was entirely rational. Plus, he believed that Jodie’s intentions were still good. She really did want to help their friend and she probably saw going on a date with him as a lot less meaningful than having sex with him. Something in Josh’s head kept telling him that the date was more meaningful, though. He couldn’t quite figure out why, but he heard a little voice warning him over and over again.

“I know I already said this, but you’re exquisitely beautiful, Jodie,” Connor said as Josh neared their destination. “And you look incredible in that dress.”

Josh looked in the rearview mirror to see his wife’s reaction. It actually looked like she was blushing a little, like she was utterly gleeful at Connor’s compliment.

“Well, thank you, Connor. And I know I’ve already said it, but you look really good in that suit,” Jodie said.

“We’re here,” Connor said as Josh pulled into Sutter Park, a beautifully-manicured green space perched on a hill that offered both a beautiful view of the town below and wide open skies above. “I figured we could do a little stargazing while we enjoy champagne.”

“Champagne?” Jodie asked with a smile on her face.

“I put a little something in our driver’s trunk when he picked me up. A little surprise,” Connor said.

Josh popped the trunk and Connor got out of the car, ran around to open the door for Jodie, and grabbed the champagne and the picnic basket he’d left in the trunk. Josh rolled the window down and turned the car off as she watched his wife take another man’s hand and walk into a grassy clearing not that far from the parking space.

Connor pulled a blanket out of the basket and laid it out before quickly popping the champagne and pouring two glasses. He and Jodie sat down, clinked their glasses, and directed their eyes skyward as they sipped the champagne.

“This is really kind of perfect, Connor,” Jodie said.

Connor reached over and took her hand in his as Josh watched from the car. He was thankful they’d stayed close enough that he could still hear them.

“It’s what a woman like you deserves, Jodie,” Connor replied. “I know it’s our first date, but it was obvious from the moment we met that you’re remarkable in so many ways.”

“You really think so?” Jodie asked as she turned her attention from the stars to Connor.

“I do,” Connor said. “Being with you tonight, being on this date, I haven’t felt this good in a long time. It’s nice to feel this way again.”

Jodie smiled and scooted a little closer to Connor. He put his arm around her and she put her head on his shoulder as they both sipped their champagne.

“This is really good champagne,” she said.

“It is,” he replied. “I’ll be honest, I was hoping to impress you.”

Jodie laughed softly. “It’s working.”

She lifted her head from his shoulder and Connor turned to look at her. “Yeah?” he asked.

Jodie nodded and leaned in. She tilted her head and Connor leaned closer. His lips met hers and they shared a remarkably tender kiss. It wasn’t the sort of kiss that lovers would share. It was the kiss that two people on a first date would share. It was soft and slow and it lasted a handful of seconds before they both gently pulled back.

“That was nice,” Jodie said quietly. Her lips remained close to Connor’s, like she wanted him to kiss her again.

“Nice enough to do it again?” he asked.

Jodie nodded and their lips met once more. Josh reached down to adjust his now-erect cock and alleviate some of the pain of it trying to burst through his jeans. Their soft, sensual kisses left him in an unfamiliar state of arousal. He’d been turned on when he watched them have sex, but this was different. It felt all-encompassing. His heart was pounding, he was a little lightheaded, and his toes seemed to be tingling. For some reason, watching his wife get swept off her feet by his friend had tapped into an unexpected kind of desire for Josh.

Connor and Jodie alternated between talking and kissing for nearly an hour as they polished off the bottle of champagne while enjoying a romantic end to their date. By the time they came back to the car, Josh had a wet spot between his legs from the steady flow of precum departing his cock.

Josh drove Connor back to his place and Jodie got out with him. For a moment Josh thought his wife was going to end the date by spending the night at Connor’s house. Instead, they shared an end-of-the-night kiss in Connor’s driveway. It was a long, sensual kiss that Josh interpreted as a sign of their mutual enjoyment of the night and their genuine passion for each other. Jealousy and lust mixed as he watched.

“Can I take you out again?” Connor asked as the kiss came to an end.

“I’d like that very much,” she replied.

Just like that, Josh’s wife seemed to be going on a second date with another man.

“I’ll call you,” Connor said.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Jodie replied as she stepped away and turned towards the car. “Thank you for the wonderful date,” she added.

“It was my pleasure, trust me,” Connor said.

Jodie got in the backseat, Josh put the car in drive and pulled away. He wasn’t sure if he was still supposed to play the part of the Uber driver, so Josh stayed quiet as he took his wife back to their house.

“Can you take me back to the park?” Jodie asked.

“Of course,” Josh replied. He drove his wife where she desired and pulled into the same space he’d watched her and Connor from.

“Can you open the trunk?” Jodie asked.

Josh popped the trunk and Jodie got out of the car, grabbed the blanket, and said, “Join me.” He happily followed as Jodie laid the blanket on the grass and sat down. Much to his surprise, she kissed him the moment Josh’s butt hit the ground. It was a fervent, passionate kiss with an eager tongue. It was a kiss of pure lust, not the exploratory, first date sort of kisses she’d shared with Connor.

“Lie down,” Jodie said breathlessly.

Josh did as his wife desired and she straddled him and reached down to unzip his pants and free his cock as the bottom of her dress spread out around him. A moment later he was inside her.

“Fuck me, Josh,” Jodie said. “Please, fuck me.”

Josh grabbed his wife’s ass through the thin material of her dress and gave her what she wanted. Jodie leaned down to kiss him as he pumped his cock into her pussy. She put her hands in the grass above his head and let out a low, quiet moan as he lost himself in the pursuit of an orgasm. He couldn’t stop thinking about Jodie’s date and he wondered if she was thinking the same thing. Clearly, she’d had a good time. Clearly, all that kissing had turned her on. Why else would she have insisted on fucking him in the park instead of waiting another ten minutes for them to get home? His wife’s obvious desire for another man only served to fuel Josh’s passion, though.

“Josh, oh, fuck, I’m cumming,” Jodie said. “Oh my god, I’m cumming!”

She came on his cock as Josh chased his orgasm. He thought of how she’d spent nearly an hour kissing Connor and the desire it had clearly left her feeling. Josh imagined she was thinking about Connor while cumming on his cock and that put him over the top. He came in his wife’s pussy as she rode the bliss of her orgasm. They came together and they were almost certainly both thinking about the same thing: Connor.

“I guess that was a good first date,” Josh said as Jodie collapsed on top of him and kissed his neck.

“It really was,” she said. “And I can’t wait for the second date.”

Given the pleasure he’d just experienced, Josh was certain he’d enjoy his wife going on another date with Connor. He was still a little nervous about it, though. He wasn’t going to stop her, but he couldn’t quite shake the nagging sense that Jodie wanted more than to help Connor get back on his feet in the dating world.
